So I go back to this trick about once a year and have never really gotten any closer to landing it because I'm not really sure how to manipulate the physics of a tantrum relative to my setup/approach. More specifically, I don't know how to flip the trick any harder/less or keep the trick from going to revert or blind in terms of body position, takeoff, and handle control. I understand its a matter of tripping it harder (pushing off harder) at the wake and handle position/where you're looking but I'm not sure exactly what I have to do at/before the wake to affect any of those variables. I read the post below this one from lyle about his switch tantrums going to revert and ill try those things you pointed out relative to landing with the nose of the board pointed more at the boat on a w2w, but honestly tantrums still dont really make sense in my head and if I can wrap my brain around it and visualize the adjustments I think I'd be able to stick it.
In the last year I've picked up a few inverts & spins really quickly and I'd really like to add hs trip flips to the mix. Posted a video of a few attempts from today in the user clips. My intention wasn't to land it one wake, but rather get the correct pop, rotation, and body position so going w2w would be easier in the following set.
