Spins

In the following sections we will cover both on and off axis spins starting with 360′s and moving all the way up to 900′s. Unlike other board sports that start spins as they leave the surface on which they are riding, wakeboarder’s actually leave without initiating the rotation and wait to set an axis. After the rider has left the ramp and the axis is set the spin is then initiated with the rope. There is no need to wind up your body to throw momentum. You can use the leverage against the rope to pull creating a slow or fast rotation depending on how hard you pull. Both on and off axis spins follow the same guidelines as far as setting an axis first before spinning. The difference is how the axis is set, one is an upright or straight axis and the other is set on a tilted or 45 degree axis.

180′s can be found in the Foundation section.
